I'm sure you guys know of a bunch of these sites (I know Timothy has a bunch listed here at links) but I'm bored so I thought I'd put them up. :)

More fanfiction

Post by Margherita » Sun May 24, 2009 5:00 am

I was rather surprised not to see the link to the Road to Avonlea-part of the gigantic fanficsite fanfiction.net mentioned in the links-department here. There´s not that much there - about 35 stories - but there are some real nice ones.

Here´s the link:

http://www.fanfiction.net/tv/Road_to_Avonlea/

Okay, okay, I admit, it´s a bit publicity as well, since I just published my very first attempt on an Avonlea-fic there and am eager to have people read and comment on it... :P But if you like Avonlea-fanfics, it might be worth checking this page out.

Thanks for the link Margherita. I will update my links page the next time I update the website. I used to have a link to the RTA section of fanfiction.net a while back, but I think they changed their category id and the link was broken.

Oh cool, I'll have to check out your story. I have been writing one, too. But it's going to be super long. It's already 50 pages in Word. I wonder how I'd post it there. I've been posting mine on anneofgreengables.com. I'm about half way done.

I hope you´ll like it: it´s Return to Me from Gus´s point of view. Not that long: about 5500 words.
I just checked out (and bookmarked) the site you mentioned yesterday. Was too tired then to read anything for real, but there seemed to be some interesting stories there!

All you have to do to publish your stories on ffnet is creating an account there. And then in a few days (some kind of safety catch for spam or something like that), you can start uploading your stories! And the RTA section there could do with some more input!

Or (cue shameless self-promotion) I could add it to my site. ;)

Wait Shelly, were you asking to post mine on your site? Sure, that's cool! Thanks for offering. I've been worried it's too long to try to put in places. Literally I expect it to be about 100 pages double spaced. I know, I'm crazy... no, but later I probably will put it on fanfict.net...

At the time, it was mainly directed to Margherita; but I'd love to add yours, too, Hannikan. :)

Well, now I kind of feel like a douche. It's totally up to you. I know it's super long...

Don't feel like a douche, Hannikan. *pets* Yours won't be the only long one up there; that's for certain.

Oh, sorry I didn´t react; I, too, thought it was directed to Hannikan ;-)

Sure, I´d love to see my stories published elsewhere. What is your site? This anneofgreengables-rta-fanficsection?

It´s been on ffnet for two weeks now. And though I do write stories because I have a story to tell and not in the first place to get recognition and praise (or the opposite), that doesn´t mean I don´t like to get people´s opinion on it :-)
But okay, I admit I got spoiled in the section of ffnet where I started: Hogan´s Heroes has a great reviewing tradition ;-)
