The Magic Lantern's 'Rate the Episodes' list was launched in April 2005 to determine an estimate of the best and least favorite Road to Avonlea episodes. Loyal fans rated over 7,000 times on a scale from 1 Excellent to 5 (Horrible).
The purpose of the following study is to analyze the episode data and provide an estimate of how the seasons are ranked. The following list represents the seasons ranked from 1, being best, to 7. The rating average (out of 5) indicates the collective episodes' ratings for that specific season.

The results demonstrate that Season Two is the highest ranked season, based on the collective rating of each episode. Despite seasons 6 and 7 ranking at the bottom of the list, each episode still is ranked in the Good to Excellent category. The series as a while, earned a 3.85 rating (out of 5).
