No I am sure they knew each other before, bc in WATWWW, Pierre reminds Simon of the times they had in Europe "in the old days." This was obviously before either one came to Avonlea.

Simon and Pierre

In Heirs and Graces and WATWWW, it is implied that Pierre and Simon are old cronies. The question is, how do they know each other? Did Pierre get Simon a job at the hotel after Medley left?

Um, she doesn't have AIDS...

I think you missed the point of the article. It says she is running a marathon for AIDS, not that she has AIDS.

Word to Timothy- Maybe you should edit your topic statements more carefully.

The power of Avonlea

Boy does that topic sentence sound corny. But anyway, it seems to be true. Over summer vacation I visited my 94-year old grandmother, and bc her vcr was broken, all we could watch were my Avonlea dvds (which I brought along on a whim). Well, she became addicted to them, and now she wants me to order...

"Homecoming"

Come to think of it, Enoch's interest is more evident in "Homecoming." Look at the way he looks at Felicity when he is offering her a job.

"A Fox Tale", "Homecoming"

Is it just me or did anyone else notice that Enoch Cain has a thing for Felicity?

"Lonely Hearts"

In this ep, am I the only one who noticed Nat Lester's sexual innuendo when he serves Laura macdonald and Emma Bradley ice cream? I thought it was kind of inappropriate for this show.

My favorite was Miss Stacey. She was like the nicest person on the planet, but her firmness with Hetty was great!

"Total Eclipse"

Am I the only one who actually liked that episode?

P.S. My favorite Eliza moment had to be in "The Ties that Bind," when she and Alec are arguing over moving the plow. And let's not forget "Fathers and Sons," when she gives Janet the HAIRloom.

Stuart's boring. I never understood why Felicity agreed to marry him in the first pllace. He looked about ten years older than her, wasn't a very nice person, had a cold persona and was not even good-looking! Some of those things may not be important to everyone in the world, but Felicity alwasy sai...

Funniest moments/ one-liners in RTA

Just thought I would ask all of you to share your favorite funny moments or lines in RTA. Although "Avonlea" is a dramtaic series, there are some HILARIOUS moments in it, which I think are sometimes overlooked. Here are some of my favorite: Moments: -Mable Sloane singing "Rock of Ages" obnoxiously a...

What's up with Roger's whereabouts always changing? In "Family Rivalry," he tells the Kings that he is going to Dalhousie in Halifax. Yet in "Ties with BInd," Alec says that he will send Olivia a wedding present from Brazil. To confuse us even more, only a few episodes later, in "Vows of Silence," A...

Let's not forget the delightful (ugh) Rev Fitzsimmons. Comes with kite and choice of pattern- Jacob and the Angel or Lot and his wife. Mrs. Potts and portable modern toilet bowl. Muriel Stacey and motorcar. Crank available upon request. Bert Potts, with 24-hr frown intact. Serves as a reminder that ...

I agree with you, Annie. I never felt that "Pat of Silver Bush" or its sequel boasted highly-developed characters and intricatede plot themes. I have read all of the thirty-something Montgomery books, and I have to say that aside from "The Story Girl" and "The Golden Road," the Emily books, "The Blu...
