I agree with you, panini--embarrassing is the best way to describe the Selena/ el Profesorio story line! Overall "Total Eclipse" was tolerable. Not exactly an Avonlea classic, but some of it was pretty amusing. Better than KotGWW and D&tM! Yeah, the episode itself wasn't bad, but I could've done wi...

Lady Jeanne wrote:Panini, you were right--"Secrets and Sacrifices" was a good episode. Aunt Abigail was remarkably likable! I was amazed at how well she and Janet got along.
Ah! But she still gets her barbs in behind all those pleasantries!

Shelly wrote:Or perhaps Laurie Pearson (say, didn't she co-write Anne 3 with KS?) decided it'd be a good idea to have all four seasons represented in ring and chose her favourite birthstones for it? ;)
 That's probably very likely!

'How Kissing Was Discovered' takes place in June. When Felicity is writing in her diary, the date on her diary page is 'June 13.' This likely places Felicity's birthday in September with a sapphire birthstone. However, this is a problem because Felix was likely born in the fall. Ah, the mystery dee...

I must say, though, there are a lot of time inconsistencies throughout the series that make it really hard to get an accurate timeline. Like in Season 5, during the fall, when the sign says it's 1908. But how? They skipped a whole year to get there, if so. Also in Season 7, when Lucky says he'll be ...

Hmmm... I think maybe the timeline in the episode guide may be a little off. Maybe Timothy can weigh in on this. One of my issues with it is that the timeline for the episode "A Time To Every Purpose" (Season 6) puts it in the winter of 1909-10. This episode is the one where Felicity's friend Collee...

I agree with you about most of the ages when the series started, but how do you account for 9 years of age progression when there were only 7 seasons? I was under the impression that each season encompassed approximately a year's time. They all seemed to start sometime in the spring/summer and end i...

I think when Doctor Blair said that it had been nine years since Janet's last child - that Cecily must've been 9 years old at the time, turning 10 in May. Because if she had been only 8 going on 9, that means that she had only JUST turned 7 when the series started, and she didn't look that young. So...

Yep, I just checked the episode guide, so Felix's birthday must be in September.

Hmmm... you could be right! I always thought that How Kissing Was Discovered was in the summer, but it certainly could have been in the spring. That makes more sense for Felix's birthday to fall in September. I forget what is significant about Incident at Vernon River. Was Felix's birthday mentioned...

Ages/birthdays of the King children

I have been trying to figure out for a while all the ages of the 4 King children and the approximate month they were born in. After watching "Secrets and Sacrifices", I realized that I was given a piece of the puzzle as to figuring out when each of them was born. The four birthstones that were put i...

My least favorite episode from this season was probably "Davey and the Mermaid." Very hard to watch; it was rather unbelievable. I actually found "From Away" more interesting to watch than that one. Oh, and the Selena and whatever-his-name-was storyline in "Total Eclipse" was just plumb embarrassing...

My favorite episode from this season is definitely "Secrets and Sacrifices." I laughed out loud the first time I watched it. It just had such great comedy, and I don't know, Abigail just cracks me up anyway.

When the three ladies dug their hands into the cake looking for Janet's ring...

More inconsistency concerning Aunt Eliza!

Did anyone else notice this and am I correct in thinking this was a mistake on the writers' part? I was just re-watching "Secrets and Sacrifices" from Season 7 (by far, my favorite episode from that season) and I noticed Eliza called herself Eliza Ward. Now, in "Proof of the Pudding" from Season 1, ...
