The only work-around I can't see is that she is reflecting old summer night stories Marilla told about Anne or Anne told both of them. In those pre-tv days, the best entertainment was porch tales before bed time.

I saw "How Kissing Was Discovered" and "Aunt Hetty's Ordeal" many years ago but didn't see the other episodes until this year. I didn't even know that the series had continued but I was happy to find out that Gus was still around. I must admit that I was surprised that his character didn't become a...

Great idea, Timothy. "Hey, Sully. Are you jotting any of this down?"

Sully likes to recycle actors and seeing the older original castmembers playing olders relatives could work. I've seen old photos of some of my relatives and noticed certain physical traits that were passed down.

Re: An Road to Avonlea 8th

I don't understand it :( Why wouldn't there be a 8th season to RTA? Please answer back. Not going to happen in any lifetime. But I'd like to see a pre-avonlea series with Gema as Ruth King, Cedric as grandpa King, you get the idea. About 1880 to 1885 would be a good start for it. Add some new young...

Davey just wasn't Sara. The show lost a special quality in acting when Sarah Polley left and Sully had to center the storyline around other characters.

> Kevin Sullivan: I'm not planning on producing another television series. The operative word here is 'planning', Timothy me boy. One must maintain a positive attitude with our passion. The man would change his mind on a dime, if the price was right. Never say, "Never!". I never do. Wait! I just sai...

Lynda and I are committee members of the Road to Avonlea Convention. We're holding our 3rd convention in Toronto this summer. It's a great place to meet fellow RTA fans and some castmembers. In past AvCon's we had Kevin Sullivan, Mag Ruffman, R.H. Thompson and Harmony Cramp to name a few. More info ...

Re: How a TV show forever changed my life.

> Oh my gosh, that is one of the most romantic stories I've ever heard! And all because of Avonlea. < What I find amazing is I really thought at the time, I will never marry. I was 56, set in my ways and with no romantic prospects. If you'd tell me then, in a few years I'd be married and living in C...

How a TV show forever changed my life.

I was scanning my tv remote when I noticed some children under a table and one of them said, "Felix, your feet smell." I thought it was cute and as I watched, I heard the magic word, "Avonlea" being mentioned. Naturally, I loved the show knowing it was a AoGG spinoff. Got on the internet, which was ...

Tim: >Do you think that if Felicity loves Gus, she should let him be who he is... A swashbuckling sailor and adventurer?< Do you think Gus loves the open sea more than Felicity? I don't think Gus would want to marry her and leave her. If that be the case then she's better off with Stuart IMHO. He wo...

So Poor Stuart took a long walk on a short pier. I feel bad for the guy, because he wasn't a true villain. But he sure gets the villain treatment. Should he have told Gus to stay in Avonlea and steal my fiancee. How about being my best man. It's things like this that turn you into an alcoholic. Poor...

The Wife is a huge Robby Benson fan, also. To the point, I feel uneasy with my marriage when she sees him on TV.
