Are we to understand that Gus got his sight back over time? Is that what the producers intended to portray?

I have a question for those who attended Avcon 2007. What are the actors like in real life? Are they similar to the characters they played? I have read in the AvCon reviews that the actors are all very warm and personable with fans. I've wondered if I ever attended, would meeting them in person take...

I haven't purchased Season 7 because I don't think I can bear to watch Felicity with anyone other than Gus. I watched a few clips as part of a YouTube video and it made me sad--even knowing that Gus was later found alive and the story has a happy ending. I guess several of you have already mentioned...
