Re: Anne of Green Gables Reboot in 2017

Well, she does have a bit of a point! Identity is a pretty strong theme as is a desire to belong, and trusting in one's self. Bullying, feminism, and prejudice are a bit more tenuous. Although, bullying/name calling does occur (maybe they'll make it a bigger issue, IDK?). Prejudice against orphans i...

Re:

This is just a guess, but Roger said he accepted the position for that fall. If Jasper and Olivia's wedding took place that summer, maybe Roger went back to Brazil for a bit before taking the position at Dalhousie that fall. How long does it take to get to Brazil by steamship? It seems to me that h...

Re: Gus' fate...

Haha, the Prince of Spelling... we didn't get much of a close-up of him though. :P Getting back to the subject of Gus at the hotel I counted 27 episodes that he appears in. In only 8 of them (just under a 1/3) do we see him working at the hotel. Here's the list: DASN, High Society, Incident at Vern...

Re: Great Update!

Thanks, Timothy. I love it! I printed off the Avonopoly PDF and am in the process of writing up some new community chest/chance cards to go with it. Hopefully, I can get it all finished up sometime this week!

Re: Anne Inc.

(And when was this kiss?! It looks like they reversed the negative for their wedding kiss and then photoshopped Felicity's hat in) I cannot for the life of me ever imagine Felicity wearing that hat... And shouldn't the quote on that green poster say, "The sharp blue sky shone", not "The sharp blur ...

Re: Gus' fate...

The Prince of Spelling is my hero :) And of course Arthur was all wrong for Felicity! I agree that adding him to Season 7 may have carried the story too far, but an uncomfortable Arthur tolerating the foundling kids for Felicity's sake would have been more interesting than "Davey and the Mermaid" a...

My Disney DVDs are most definitely chopped up. Even the music cues stop mid note, pause and then go into a different theme entirely. It's very distracting...

Re: Gus' fate...

I didn't really like the Gus/Arthur/Felicity storyline at all. I felt Arthur was all wrong for her. At least he wasn't as insipid as Stuey. I do think it would have made a lot more sense for them to place Arthur in that role. It would have been interesting to see how she would have felt in that situ...

Re: Slings and Arrows

Jackie made a few appearances in Season 2. I haven't seen all of season 3 yet, so I'm not sure if she comes back or not. It was a very tough call between RTA or Slings and Arrows at Borders today, but in the end I went with RTA. Slings is easier to find at a reasonable price.

Slings and Arrows

Is anyone else obsessed with this show? I just discovered it on Netflix and I don't think I have ever laughed so much at a television show in my life! Plus it has lots of Avonlea alum (Sarah and Michael Polley, Jackie Burrows, Jonathan Crombie, the actress who plays "Selena Dale" (Can't remember her...

Just a quick heads up, my site has now moved to http://avonlea.ning.com. It is now has a social networking interface, with most of the old content up there, as well.
