What's up with Roger's whereabouts always changing? In "Family Rivalry," he tells the Kings that he is going to Dalhousie in Halifax. Yet in "Ties with BInd," Alec says that he will send Olivia a wedding present from Brazil. To confuse us even more, only a few episodes later, in "Vows of Silence," ...

I would have to say Christopher Lloyd, Michael York and Peter Coyote. I also liked Robby Benson but mostly because he's cute!

I'd be all for a reunion if Michael Mahonen was back. I'm still disappointed he wasn't in HCMK (though I know there was a conflict related to pay...he didn't feel they were offering enough!). It was nice to hear that Felicity was pregnant, but still...we need Gus! And more of Felix too!

I agree with everything Shelly said. Felicity herself said "It wasn't love" which would encompass romantic love and any other kind. If she was "in love" with Stuart, she wouldn't have been able to drop him the way she did once she found Gus. When this happened, you didn't see Felicity going through ...

In those hard times, women didn't always marry for love. Some married for respectability and some for security. With love being a bonus. Exactly! That's what I've been saying all along. They didn't have the kind of choices that we do today. Which is why if Felicity married Stuart and wasn't in love...

I loved Looking for Miracles when I saw it on the Disney Channel AGES ago (around the time RTA was first show, I'd expect) and By Way of the Stars is great too.

Romney Penhallow

I've just been watching my season 2 DVDs and I have to say that I really liked Romney Penhallow and Hetty together. He brought out this different, carefree and happy side of her that we don't often get to see. I think they would have made a great long-term couple, and I thought it was a shame he had...

That's true. I always kind of got the feeling, though, that Hetty had a bit of a crush on Gus. I can't think of many examples at the moment, as I only have seasons 1-3 on DVD and I haven't seen 4-7 in quite awhile...but once I get more of the episodes I should be able to say more about that. And as ...

How can that possibly be correct? (the run-time for Disney's release, that is!). Unless you cut out episodes altogether, I just can't see taking huge chunks out of each episode.

Ah, yes! Some very good points there and I agree with you. What do you think about the Hetty/Gus relationship though? I mean, there were times (I think it was after season 3, as I haven't seen the evidence yet) where I thought "Wow...If Hetty was younger, I'd think there was something romantic going...

Whoa! That's a significant difference! I was kind of wondering why there were only 3 discs. I wonder if they're going the 2-sided route like Sully? This will be interesting...

I watched Avonlea when it first aired on the Disney Channel in 1989. I think I must have been 8 at the time. I had LOVED Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea (the Sully productions) so when I heard about the new series I begged my parents to subscribe to the Disney Channel so I could watch it. F...

The Felcity/Hetty Comparison?

I'm 23 now, and I grew up watching Avonlea on the Disney Channel. Sometimes I guess I didn't pick up on certain things having to do with the series that I do now as an adult. For example, I recently purchased season 3 on DVD and as I watched the episodes, I noticed the frequent comparisons of Felici...
