Well, both Sullivan and Disney have all the episodes on their dvds (if they didn't, neither could label their box sets 'complete _____ season') but we are dealt that unfortunate blow of each leaving out scenes. However, one has to keep in mind why each edited out scenes: -Disney for content (nothing...

Where is everybody that owns Sully's dvds? (I am interested in knowing this as well.)

There are 3 versions of it: a six hour, a 3 hour and an 1 1/2 version of it, if I remember correctly. (Different parts of the world when it was shown got to see longer or shorter versions of it.) The VHS sold on Sully's site is the 3 hour version. I saw it listed on amazon.com. It is interesting tha...

I wonder why it doesn't show up on Sully's website then as being out on dvd.

How long is the dvd? (There are several different timed versions of BWotS out.)

Hetty might have jumped the shark, but it once one got passe the episode where she did so, it seemed believable because all the romance and fiction writing was kept an important element to her character (and, plus, eventually her character semi-returns to be the bossy, always slightly narrow-minded,...

Well, from later episodes and the episode itself, we see that Ezekiel is a pirate who has run into some very bad people and by taking all the treasure and not acknowledging that Gus is his, he saves Gus from the possibility of having some very bad run-ins in the future.

Well, I can't say for sure, but her resentment seems to stem from Sullivan's control over her career. She wanted out of the show after season 2, but Sullian refused to re- negotiate contracts until season 5. (All the child actors were signed on for at least 5 years.) Furthermore, while being on RTA,...

The final run time according to this is 590 minutes. That is only 10 minutes short of Sullivan's and one has to in mind that his features of two making-of specials/docs, whereas this is apparently just the episodes alone.

It has been ages since I have viewed the episodes, but I don't think he was avoiding responsibility. Gus had been through a lot of upheaval his entire life and was now adjusting to a normal life in Avonlea so maybe Ezekiel wanted to avoid telling him right away in order to make sure Gus had some sta...

I admire Polley's political activism and will continue supporting her in that, but after reading those comments, I will no longer support her work. She doesn't seem to get that many RTA fans do get appreciate her newer work and to make comments like that is to imply that if we like the show, we must...

I am split on the issue. The show was clearly hurt by their loss, but on the other hand, the last few seasons were filled with bad writing and loss of focus (there seemed to be 2 Avonleas: One focussed on Davey and the young crowd, the other focussed on the Kings/Pettibones--specifically Felix and I...

amazon.com get info wrong all the time. Especially if the release is similar to or an updated version of an old release. The website is presuming that it is just and updated version of the Tales from Avonlea dvd set and so it is using the old info regarding that set. Once more information about the ...

Welll, I'll be getting the dvd because it is cheaper and more accessible than the Sullivan set. (Although that said, I haven't ruled out getting the Sullivan dvds after acquiring the Disney ones.)

I watched Avonlea when it came on CBC when it first premiered. It was because of the Anne movies that I became a fan. However, it wasn't until the last 1990s when CBC and Hallmark were rerunning that I truly became an real Avonlea devotee. At about the same time, my interest in Anne, and all thing L...
