Personally, I think there was always a bit of a "wild child" in Hetty just waiting to get out. When people so staunchly oppose something, it's usually because they are envious of people who do it or wish they could do it themselves. And we know that Hetty wasn't always the stickler for rules that w...

They didn't have many really depressing epsiodes. Maybe its a backlash against the "sugary sweet[ness]" Sarah mentioned in a recent interview?

Arthur was a ninny. Although, I could kinda see it in CaG.

Captain Crane & Abe Pike both have standard Elizabethian accents.

Why the need to watch Gus from afar then? At first it sounded fatherly, but after AtG, it sounds like he was just hanging around until he got the treasure. To me it sounded like Captain Crane had been watching Gus from afar even when he was a baby, which would have been long before Gus arrived in A...

I cannot recall the episode, but there is a scene where Harmony is eating a cookie or something while a heated argument is going on with the characters. I was surprised that she was casually eating and watching the conflict in front of her like nothing was happening. Well, it wasn't like there was ...

I think that the problems in seasons 6 & 7 can be traced to poor writing choices more than anything else. Here are some options for storylines that could have been developed (further) but weren't: Fizzy (fell just as flat as the Gus/Abe plot of WSWB...II) Foundling Home Orphans (as individuals rathe...

I always thought that the character of Roger is a bit of a negative stereotype against disabled people. His is the only character (besides Gus - who also became mean spirited) who was physically challenged that I can recall and was also one of the biggest jackasses. Generally not true in real life.

I agree that Sarah has a right to her own opinion. All actors work on projects that they wish they hadn't at some point in their career (Johnny Depp in 21 Jump Street , for example). I do not think it was intended to upset RTA fans. Besides, she has already vocalized as much in the past, so anyone w...

Thanks for such a lovely recomendation! This is a great site with lots of fun stuff. It features personality quizes, a fun and games section, news, and mystery pics. I like the hotel theme and am determined at some point to check into room 12  . "Guest in room 12" was one of the user titles fo...

Unless maybe the children of Avonlea did not attend schoool until they were seven or eight, so Season 5 was the first season in which Davey went to school? Is that even a possibility? (I don't believe he was featured in the schoolhouse in any prior episodes). My mother was born in the late 1950's a...

I love that episode because it marks a kind of death toll for the series. In the same way that Cecily "might just slip away", the series started to slip away after that and with the exception of the fizzies there was none of the elements that drew me to the series in the first place, making the epis...
