Does Avonlea Guide have a different RTA forum?
Timothy,
On Avonlea Guide (www.avonleaguide.com) there is a button for Boards. When I click that button, it appears to goto a Forum different than this one. Is that correct? Is there a way from avonleaguide.com main page to access this forum? Is there a reason you maintain two different forums?

Re: Does Avonlea Guide have a different RTA forum?
Miss Lewis, sorry for the confusion. You can get to this Avonlea Forum from the top menu. Hover over 'Media' and select 'Forum' from the drop down menu. On mobile devices you can click the menu icon, click on 'Media' and click on 'Forum.'
The new Avonlea Boards are ultimately supposed to replace the Avonlea Forum. The 'Avonlea Boards' are built into the website template, meaning it has the same header/logo and is easier to manage. All the content from the Avonlea Forum will remain for all to enjoy.

Ah that makes sense. May I make a suggestion? Why not put Forum button/ribbon next to the blog (Thus replace the "Board" button)? Why have two forum/board? Why not just have this forum as it better interface than the template forum? Having this forum link hidden in Media area makes it harder to find. if it is harder to find then potential visitors may miss finding this forum. just a thought.

Thanks for the input. I'll take that under consideration when updating the website.

Timothy, your are the owner so it is entirely up to you to make such decision. From my point of view the new Boards are less comfortable both in viewing-investigating and in posting than this good old forum. Please if possible do not make it read-only. I'm sure it is quintessential for many of us.Timothy wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2019 9:43 amThe new Avonlea Boards are ultimately supposed to replace the Avonlea Forum. There is a strangeness in simple things.

I agree with Serge on this. This forum has a much better format than the other one. From my point of view the new Boards are less comfortable both in viewing-investigating and in posting than this good old forum. Please if possible do not make it read-only. I'm sure it is quintessential for many of us.
Where did the the rumor that this Forum is becoming a "read-only" come from? Timothy--please tell me this just a rumor and not true.

- "Save the Avonlea Guide Forum from becoming a museum of words",
- "The Witch of Avonlea will put a curse on you"
- "The Ghost of Ezekiel Crane will Haunt this forum until you reinstate posting rights"
- "Better watch out about what Madam X will write about you"

Yea! my one person protest saved the day. Nuts, I was looking forward to visiting Peg Bowen for that curse
...maybe another time...

Re: Does Avonlea Guide have a different RTA forum?
Lol, I definitely don't want to get on Peg's bad side.
Hmm... Come to think of it, did our dear friends on the Anne 3 boards bother Peg?
