Hetty and Simon Thread Continued

Post by Timothy » Tue Feb 21, 2006 11:11 am

Hetty King became a co-proprietor of the White Sands Hotel with Simon Tramayne and they started a business relationship. In 'Lonely Hearts,' there appeared to be hints about a romantic relationship. By the seventh season, Hetty and Simon were engaged to be married in 'Ah... Sweet Mystery of Life.' However, neither were willing to give up their profession and a wedding never materialized.

What did you think about the Hetty and Simon relationship? Was there chemistry between them or did it appear awkward?

I thought they were adorable. :D

(There's no love emoticon on here so I thought I'd just put a smile one on there)

No little man either. *sigh*

I thought the Simon/Hetty relationship was awkward and had no chemistry. That said, Lonely Hearts was really good.

I'll have to find a Stuart McRae icon.

LOL! :lol:

I actually meant the little pimp icon Shelly had on her boards, which does not resemble Stuey in any way, shape, or form.

After thinking about it a little, I think they had some chemistry, but I still don't know if they had enough romantic chemistry.

There he is! Can I borrow him on a loan? The smilies are a lonely scarce group right now, in desperate need of friends.

We have the 'fussies,' the 'fizzies' and the 'sarties.' How come there isn't a group for Hetty and Simon? What would it be called... the Shimons? Or Shettys?

I say Simetties. Shetties is one vowel away from being Sh*tties, and I don't know if Simon/Hetty fans want that distinction. ;) And I don't think I like Shimons that much.

And yeah; feel free to add him. I think I got it from mysmilies.com or something like that. There's some good ones there.

Oh how I adore him. He got a face lift (he looked differently when I first fell for him), but he's still my man. :lol:

Oh yeah, for everyone else reading this: I'm not THAT crazy, ok? I promise I'm a sane fussy/fizzy/sartie/simetty/jalec/olsper.

Although I like Shetties, if you say it outloud a few times a not so nice nickname might pop out. ;)

Can someone enlighten me? What are the 'fussies', 'fizzies', 'sarties', 'jalec', 'olsper'....ohhhh! I think I just got it while I was writing this! :lol:

Fussies - Felicity & Gus?
Fizzies - Felix & Izzy?
Jalec - Janet & Alec?
Olsper - Olivia & Jasper?

Um, still stuck on sarties....?

I don't think Simon and Hetty would appreciate their whatever-you-call it being called a 'Shetty' romance. Then again, Hetty was passed over for marriage because Simon was in love with the walls of his hotel, a hotel that an inspector wanted condemned! So that's how the Shetty romance is concluded, with Simon rejecting Hetty because he is in love with his mildew and cockroach infested walls? A bit creepy if you ask my opinion.

Katie mentioned it here as none other than the
Sara and Arthur group.

LOL, Tim! But it is true that he was in love with those golldurn walls. ;)

Anyway, yes...

Fussy = Felicity/Gus fan

Fizzy = Felix/Izzy fan

Jolly/Olsper = Olivia/Jasper fan (Jolly uses the "J" in Jasper, and then "Olly" is a nickname he used for Olivia in "Love May Be Blind..." and maybe even some other eps)

Sartie = Sara/Arthur fan

Jalec = Alec/Janet fan

It must have been new paint that caused Simon to choose the walls over Hetty. Looks like Simon was sniffing some of that paint. :lol:

I have to admit, i DID enjoy simon and hetty's relationship- though in 'the dinner' episode, Clive would have been a interesting match. :twisted:
