What is Your Favorite Character? was created by timothy

What is your favorite Avonlea related character? It could be from film or literature.

For me it keeps changing. Alec, Hetty, Gus, Felicity are all strong candidates. Right now I'm picking the adventurous Sara Stanley from the second season, around the time of Sea Ghost. I liked how the character was feisty and would rebel against Hetty.

I'll pick Dan from the The Story Girl and The Golden Road. As Felicity's older brother, he's always putting her in her place with verbal jabs when Felicity's vanity or snobbery gets the better of her.

In Road to Avonlea, we see less quips and more tricks to counter Felicity's faults. Andrew gives her magic seeds in The Journey Begins which exposes her vanity, and Sara devises a scheme in A Mother's Love as revenge for her snobbery.

Dan is a good pick. I always liked his wit and his ability to hold his own against Felicity, so to speak. I thought they passed that on to Felix in the series, especially in the later seasons.
